Earlier this week The League had meetings with suppliers to start
operations and will also start working on dates for the 2010-2011 regular season schedule over the next 3 weeks. The Federal Hockey League is also close to announcing league wide plans and partnerships, which will strengthen the foundation that has already been set. The League is working close together on every issue and the unity is excellent and will continue to strengthen as we get closer to the season. Here’s to hockey in November!!!

As part of the marketing campaign, the Privateers will be making a
presentation to the members of the Chamber of Commerce in Alexandria Bay on Monday. In addition, the Privateers are actively collecting resumes for their sales and marketing staff. The Danbury Whalers are proud to announce the next event on the Danbury Whalers Fan Caravan will be at Billy Bean’s Café & Pub on 80 White Street in Danbury. The event will be held on Friday, April 30th at 7 – 9 pm. This function will also feature a first ever Danbury Whalers Brass Bonanza Dance Contest.
Fans will be treated to complimentary buffalo wings throughout the
evening. In addition, the Whalers will treat you to your first beverage
of choice. The event is open to all Whalers fans, please RSVP to

Billy Bean’s Café’ and Pub is going to be the most recent stop on the Danbury Whalers Fan Caravan which has been successful at multiple locations in Danbury. Restaurants have only had positive remarks to say about how these events have been huge successes both for themselves and the team. Places such as TK’s American Café’, Two Steps, and Maxwell’s have all benefitted from these fan gatherings because of the business.
The Danbury Whalers have benefitted majorly as well as these events have provided major contributions to the growing season ticket base of over 200 people. They will continue to have events like this leading right up to the start of the season in November. Stay tuned for more announcements!

GM Brian Hall and Vice President Sam Hall held a press conference on April 5 to launch phase 2 of the Frenzy’s inaugural season ticket sales drive. They were joined at Kennedy Arena by three local hockey legends: Ron Townsend, Dave Townsend and Bill Fleet. The three stars from Rome's hockey past came to show their support for the city's new professional hockey team. The former players addressed the crowd with stories of the city’s
hockey past, present and their hopes for its future. The Frenzy
organization is honored to have such icons of Rome ’s hockey past as mentors and supporters of our new venture.

Akwesasne Warriors
The Akwesasne Warriors are proud to announce the signing of the first Head Coach in franchise history Joe Phillips. “We have been interviewing several candidates to find the right man for the job, someone who’s diligent, poised with conviction and ready to make a difference in the world of Single “A” Professional hockey. We can’t wait to hit the ice in October for training camp with Phillips at the wheel”, states Owner Basem Awwad.
Joe Phillips will be beginning his first season as the Head Coach for the Akwesasne Warriors of the Federal Hockey Leagues inaugural season. Before accepting this position with Akwesasne, Joe spent four seasons as a coach with the Varsity Massena Central- NYS Division I team. Joe also held the position of assistant coach and Head coach for the Akwesasne Wolves junior B hockey team. Mr. Phillips is a well accomplished coach in the Box lacrosse world, having coached several teams ranging from High School,
College, Junior and Senior A. Joe Phillips graduated and received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Anthropology from Hamilton College in Clinton, NY. He later received his master’s degree at SUNY Potsdam, NY.
Be on the lookout as the Akwesasne Warriors are holding an open tryout in Ottawa between April 30th and May 2nd at the Ray Friel Arena. To register for the tryout fill out the registration form on the website and email it to bawwad@akwesasnewarriors.com

Broome County Barons
The BC barons are looking forward to hosting the FHL’s Free Agent Camp August 27th thru 29th at the Chenango Ice Rink. It is anticipated that there will be four teams of 22 players participating. All teams will be in a Round Robin competition that will include the 3 Games and 1 Practice. New York Aviators
With the recent announcement of the New York Aviators Professional Hockey Team joining the Federal Hockey League, the staff has kicked into high gear in preparation for a busy off-season and upcoming season. Recent staff additions, Mark Richards and Candace Whitehead, are excited to bring their experience to the Team by implementing many new and innovative marketing and ticket plans.
Season ticket packages and individual game ticket pricing will be
